The Hardest Part of Investing Isn't Buying, It's Selling
1 min read
Ever since I started investing more seriously in stocks, I've found myself stuck in a strange psychological cycle.
Buying shares is the easy part. The real challenge comes when it's time to sell.
You watch a position move into profit, make the rational decision to lock in your gains, and execute the trade. By all accounts, that should feel like a win.
But then, a few days later, you glance back at the chart and see the stock climbing another 25%. Suddenly, what was objectively a successful trade feels like a mistake.
It's remarkable how quickly the market can turn a profitable decision into a source of regret simply because you didn't sell at the absolute peak.
At the end of the day, a profitable trade is still a profitable trade, and that's a result worth appreciating.
